What makes you passionate about mental health?
Being a sports person, keeping a cool head is always important. I know how performance pressure can affect someone. And I know how getting help from the right people at the right time can make all the difference. I can’t stress enough on the need to take care of your mental health. I want to urge everyone to come out and speak. Especially now, when conversations around mental health have become more open-minded and help is always available. It will help you overcome a lot of things, trust me.
What is your go to form of self care?
My go to form of self-care has to be meditation. Being a sportsperson I have to deal with constant competition and pressure. So, whenever I feel overwhelmed, I meditate to ensure that my mind is calm and relaxed. It helps me process what I’m feeling better.
What keeps you grounded?
My parents always remind me of my heritage and where we came from. So, no matter how high you climb, it's critical to stay loyal to your roots while reminding yourself of your accomplishments. That gives me a sense of stability and motivation.
